Surface Preparation: The application surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil, dirt, and dust. For metal or plastic substrates, it is recommended to wipe with isopropyl alcohol or a specialized cleaner and, if necessary, sand it to enhance adhesion.
Material Selection: Select the appropriate super glue type based on the material of the adherend (e.g., metal, ceramic, rubber, etc.), and ensure its heat and humidity resistance meet the application requirements.
Environmental Control: The application environment should ideally be between 15°C and 30°C, with a relative humidity below 70%. Avoid strong winds, dusty conditions, or extreme temperature fluctuations.
2. Glue Application Process
Appropriate Glue Application: The adhesive layer should be uniformly thick, typically 0.05 to 0.2 mm. Excessive application may result in overflow or poor curing, while insufficient application may compromise bond strength.
Application Method: Use a dispensing gun, brush, or syringe to precisely apply the adhesive, ensuring that the adhesive covers the entire bonding surface. For porous materials, pre-apply the adhesive and allow time for solvent absorption.
Pressure and Curing: Immediately after bonding, apply a pressure of 0.1-0.5 MPa (depending on the material) and maintain pressure until fully cured. Refer to the product instructions for curing time, which typically ranges from a few seconds to 24 hours.
3. Safety and Quality Control
Protective Measures: Operators must wear gloves and goggles to avoid contact with skin or eyes. A respirator should be used in poorly ventilated areas.
Quality Inspection: After curing, verify the bond quality through tensile or shear testing. Unsatisfactory areas will require rework.
Waste Disposal: Waste adhesive and containers should be disposed of in accordance with hazardous chemical regulations and should not be discarded.
Adherence to the above standards can significantly improve the reliability of superglue construction, extend the service life of the bonded structure, and ensure the safety of workers and the environment.
