Feature

MPD113 is a light yellow, high-strength contact cement based on neoprene. It is a single-component solvent-based adhesive featuring easy application, quick drying, excellent initial tack, high final bond strength, and good resistance to aging, oil, and water. It provides a flexible yet powerful bond suitable for porous and flexible materials.

Application Scope

This neoprene glue is specifically designed for the shoe-making industry (leather shoes, sneakers), leather goods & luggage manufacturing, furniture (sponge & sofa padding), automotive interiors, and general construction bonding (wood panels, PVC leather). It effectively bonds a wide range of materials including leather, synthetic leather, rubber, EVA, sponge, canvas, wood, laminates, and metal sheets.

Using Method

Step 1: Surface Preparation

• Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, or grease. For rough or porous surfaces, sanding is recommended.

Step 2: Adhesive Application

• Apply a uniform thin layer of adhesive onto both prepared surfaces using a brush or roller.
• Allow to air for 5-15 minutes (or until the glue surface is tacky but does not stick to fingers), depending on temperature and humidity.
• Position both surfaces together and apply firm, even pressure immediately (use a roller or hammer for best results).

Step 3: Curing Time

• Initial set occurs within 1-2 minutes. Handling strength is achieved in 2-4 hours. Full bond strength is reached after 24 hours.

Warning

• 1 Use only in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from sparks, open flames, and other sources of ignition. No smoking.
• 2 Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash immediately with soap and water if skin contact occurs. In case of eye contact, flush with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• 3 Keep container tightly closed after each use to prevent solvent evaporation and thickening.
• 4 Do not take internally. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage and Packing

• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep away from fire.
• Shelf life is 12 months in original unopened container. If stored beyond shelf life, re-test before use.
• Transport and preserve as flammable liquid.
• Packing: 18L/tin in iron tin (also available in various sizes upon request).
