Feature

Clear Color Gasket Sealant is a type of acid-cured silicone sulfur sealant suitable for use in various climate conditions. It reacts rapidly with moisture in the air to form a durable seal. The sealant offers excellent aging resistance, high flexibility, and outstanding performance in both high and low temperatures. It is also resistant to various types of industrial wastewater and exhibits good elasticity.

Scope of Application

Acetic Gasket Maker is suitable for sealing a wide range of components, including:

  • Automotive parts: such as water pumps and gear cases.
  • Panels: including front and rear boards.
  • Industrial equipment: such as cover plates and plane flanges.
  • Flange joints: on various machinery and aircraft.

Using Method

Step 1: Surface Cleaning

  • Clean the surface with a cotton cloth to ensure it is free of dust, grease, rust stains, and other contaminants.

Step 2: Apply Protective Tape (Optional)

  • For a neat finish, apply temporary masking tape around the area to be sealed after cleaning. Remove the tape after applying the sealant.

Step 3: Prepare the Nozzle

  • Pierce the seal of the tube, remove the cap, and cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle.

Step 4: Apply the Sealant

  • Apply the sealant evenly and continuously to the area to be sealed or bonded. Maintain a steady pressure on the tube to produce a consistent cylindrical bead of sealant. Move the nozzle at a slow, uniform pace to avoid trapping air bubbles or creating gaps.

Step 5: Curing

  • The sealant will begin to form a skin in about 10 minutes. Assemble parts while maintaining proper seal thickness. Full curing will be achieved after 24 hours at room temperature.

Warning

  • 1 During the curing process, this product releases small amounts of acetic acid. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated at all times.
  • 2 Keep out of reach of children. While non-toxic once fully cured, avoid contact with eyes before curing. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • 3 During application, hold the applicator steadily to avoid introducing air into the sealant, which may cause bubbles and affect sealing performance.
  • 4 After use, replace the cap immediately and seal the container tightly to prevent moisture ingress and premature curing. Wipe away any excess sealant from the nozzle.
  • 5 For optimal results, use this product within a temperature range of 5–40℃ and a relative humidity of 40–80%.

Storage & Packaging

  • This product is non-flammable and should be stored sealed in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 10–27℃.
  • The shelf life of this premium acetic silicone gasket maker is 12 months from the date of production.
