Feature

Black Color Gasket Maker is a one-part acidic silicone sealant that cures rapidly upon reaction with moisture in the air. It can be applied in any climate conditions and offers excellent aging resistance, high flexibility, and outstanding performance in both high and low temperature environments. It also provides good elasticity and resistance to various types of industrial wastewater.

Scope of Application

RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) Silicone serves as an effective replacement for pre-cut gaskets made of cork, paper, asbestos, and felt. It also provides a reliable seal for windshields, sunroofs, doors, lights, hose connections, and other applications. This silicone cures to form a tough yet flexible seal, making it ideal for use on oil pans, rear end housings, water pumps, valve covers, thermostat housings, and similar components.

Using Method

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • Clean the surface with a cotton cloth to ensure it is free from dust, grease, rust stains, and other contaminants.
  • To achieve a neat appearance, apply protective masking tape around the area to be sealed after cleaning. Remove the tape immediately after applying the sealant.

Step 2: Nozzle Preparation

  • Remove the cap and pierce the seal. Then, cut the nozzle of the tube at a 45-degree angle.

Step 3: Adhesive Application

  • Apply the sealant evenly to the area that requires sealing or bonding. Maintain a continuous flow by squeezing the tube steadily to form a consistent bead. Move the nozzle slowly and evenly to prevent air bubbles or gaps from forming.

Step 4: Curing Time

  • The sealant will begin to set in approximately 10 minutes. During assembly, maintain the desired thickness of the gasket. Allow it to cure at room temperature for 24 hours.

Warning

  • 1 During the curing process, this product releases a small amount of acetic acid. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated.
  • 2 Keep out of reach of children. Although non-toxic once fully cured, avoid contact with eyes before curing. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • 3 During application, hold the tube steadily and avoid interrupting the flow to prevent air bubbles from forming, which may affect the sealing performance.
  • 4 After use, recap the tube immediately and seal the packaging tightly to prevent moisture ingress and premature curing. Wipe away any excess sealant from the nozzle.
  • 5 This product should be applied at temperatures between 5‒40°C and relative humidity of 40‒80%.

Storage & Packaging

  • This product is non-flammable. It should be stored sealed in a cool, dry place between 10-27°C (50-80°F).
  • The shelf life of this premium acetic gasket maker is 12 months from the date of production.
