Scope of Application

Mega Grey Color Silicone Sealant provides excellent adhesion and forms durable seals on glass, coated aluminium, wood, glazed ceramic tiles, fibreglass, vitreous enamel, and most laminated surfaces.

Using Method

1. Complete all painting prior to application. Use masking tape on both sides of the joint to simplify cleanup, protect adjacent surfaces, and ensure a neat finish. For deep joints or gaps, insert a sealant support material such as polyurethane foam to limit sealant depth to no more than 10 mm.
2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to match the desired bead size, then puncture the inner diaphragm of the cartridge. Load the cartridge into a caulking gun. Hold the gun at a 45° angle, keeping the nozzle in contact with both sides of the joint. Apply the sealant by pushing the gun steadily forward, forcing sealant firmly into the joint.
3. Tool the surface smooth before a skin forms (within 5 minutes of application). Immediately remove excess sealant with a cloth dampened with mineral turpentine. If masking tape was applied, remove it immediately after tooling.
4. The sealant becomes touch-dry in approximately 30 minutes.
5. Once fully cured, excess sealant can be trimmed with a sharp blade. Avoid undercutting the sealed joint.

Warning

• 1 This product is not recommended for airtight applications. Ensure adequate ventilation during use, as acetic acid is released during the curing reaction.
• 2 If application cannot be completed within one hour after initial cleaning, clean the surface again before proceeding.
• 3 Should the surface become exposed to rain or contaminated before application, reclean it thoroughly.
• 4 The product is non-toxic. However, avoid contact with eyes or nose. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.

Storage and Shelf Life

• The product is nonflammable. Keep dry and shade, air tight during storage.
• The shelf life for grade acetic silicone sealant is 12 months.
